Senior Mortagage Business Analyst

Job Description: As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our organization's operations and technology initiatives. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between our business objectives and technology capabilities, ensuring that our systems and processes effectively support the company’s strategic goals. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a knack for “pulling up their sleeves” and getting the job done, while still respecting the collaborative nature of client’s internal teams.

• Analysis, Requirements, Documentation:
• Collaborate with stakeholders and perform independent research to understand business needs and processes, perform analysis, and assess for appropriate solutions.
• Facilitate virtual meetings and working sessions with cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
• Work closely with dev/tech team members to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and meet business requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases, perform quality assurance testing and support business users during UAT to ensure solutions meet all requirements and quality standards.
• Project Management and Coordination:
• Manage development initiatives from initiation to completion, taking personal responsibility and ownership for requirements and deliverables produced.
• Coordinate activities across multiple teams and departments to ensure timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
• Manage workload of multiple tasks/projects of different sizes and deadlines.
• Training and Support:
• Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to troubleshoot issues and address system-related inquiries.

• Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes (wholesale, correspondent, retail), mortgage compliance and regulations (CFPB, RESPA, TRID), and general industry standards.
• Knowledge of mortgage origination and servicing platforms (e.g., Meridian Link Mortgage, Encompass, Calyx Point).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Skilled at managing quick-shifting priorities and solving ambiguous problem areas in a high-pressure environment.
• Effective working in a remote workplace environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
