Overview
Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Full Time Records Technician to support a large national background investigations (BI) program that provides investigative products and services to departments and agencies of the federal government. BIs determine an individual’s suitability for federal employment, eligibility for access to classified information, assignment to or retention in positions with sensitive duties, or other designated duties requiring such investigations.
The investigations often involve personal and intimate details of an individual’s life and must be processed with tact and discretion. Information collected by the investigator as part of the BI is protected under the Privacy Act of 1974. Location: Remote, Hybrid McLean, VA area preferred
ClearanceClearance: Top Secret
Responsibilities- Obtain, review, and report various investigative records as required
- Maintain active logins for approved record check websites to include The Work Number, Degree Verify, various court and law enforcement agencies, and other entities as required
- Meet lead submission deadline dates
- Prepare records documentation and upload as needed to support a Report of Investigation (ROI)
- Manifest all investigative material in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Prepares detailed summary of adverse information based upon objective analysis and evaluation of candidate’s background, and interviewee statements, as measured against requirement standards as set forth by the FIS
- Active Top-Secret clearance
- Open to completing an approved NTS Background Investigator course or refresher course, if this requirement hasn’t already been met
- Ability to conduct investigative fieldwork privately at home
- Home fax machine available for daily use
- Possession of DHS and Paper proof investigator or record tech credentials; or ability to obtain them
