Senior Business Analyst - Consumer Identity
The Consumer Identity team is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst for the Strategy and Analytics team to help us in our mission to protect our customers’ identities from Fraud and to help Capital One in its push to put customer centric analysis at the center of how we operate. Your role will be to help drive the strategy and analytics that we leverage in optimizing fraud prevention.
You will partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Design and many others to deliver on one of the most critical dimensions of how Capital One defends the company and its customers against Fraud.
This role will include work on items such as:
Evaluating the effectiveness of new Identity tools, optimizing policy, and setting a strategic roadmap in partnership with our platform teams for the next generation of Identity defenses
Analyzing, responding to and mitigating Fraud attacks in partnership with Lines of Business across the company to ensure our defenses keep pace with our attackers
Establishing our Credit Risk management infrastructure foundations
Create frameworks to assess our platforms existing customer experiences and interactions with customers to points in reducing friction and drive customer satisfaction
Exploring opportunities to leverage customer level data (i.e. cross-LOB behavioral) for Fraud & other high leverage use cases

GeneralResponsibilities
Analysis:
Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendationsProduct:
Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending productsMarketing:
Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Help build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go to market strategiesCredit Risk:
Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysisExecution:
Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring planPartnership:
Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitabilityStrategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management

Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science,…
