Senior Accountant

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team and support financial operations across a multi-entity environment. This role will focus heavily on general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting
, while also supporting the launch of new operational entities and assisting with process improvements.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger for multiple operating entities
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and complete required financial reporting
• Assist with the accounting setup for newly launched entities
• Partner with operational leadership on accounting and reporting matters
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
• Support annual audits and respond to financial inquiries
• Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
  , ideally in a corporate accounting environment
• Prior experience functioning at the Senior Accountant level
• Strong general ledger experience including journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes
• Experience supporting financial reporting and audits
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• ERP system experience required (
  Great Plains experience is a plus
  )
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
