Job Summary
The Interim AP/AR Consultant is responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, and maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This is a contract role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This role will work a sporadic and fluctuating schedule.
Job Duties- Prepares and reviews financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and non-profit regulations
- Manages month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Assists with implementation of new accounting policies and procedures relevant to non-profit organizations
- Supports clients with technical accounting issues and provides recommendations, including grant and fund accounting
- Coordinates with internal and client teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, donor restrictions, and internal controls
- Participates in special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
Experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, required
- Experience in public accounting or professional services, preferred
- Experience with AP/AR process improvement and automation, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s)
- CPA, preferred
Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required
- Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, or Oracle, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $40/HR - $70/HR
Maryland Range: $40/HR - $70/HR
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $40/HR - $70/HR
