Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of proficiency in Deltek Costpoint. The ideal candidate will assist with audits, financial reviews, month-end close activities, project setup, workforce assignments, bank reconciliations, and other accounting duties as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audits and financial reviews, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
+ Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger review and account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
+ Support the setup of new projects in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring accurate configuration of project parameters and alignment with contractual requirements.
+ Coordinate workforce assignments within the accounting system to ensure proper allocation of resources and accurate labor cost tracking.
+ Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
+ Serve as backup for payroll processing and post-payroll process.
+ Support various accounting functions as needed, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on Deltek Costpoint.
+ Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint, including modules such as Projects, GL, and Reporting.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Experience in government contracting or a similar industry.
+ Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site. Wednesdays are mandatory in-office days, with other days typically being Tuesday and/or Thursday. The office is located in a beautiful setting in Tyson's and includes a growing team of 8 people.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Lean, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.
