241 ON PREMISE - DRIVER - FT (Specs Family Partners Ltd)
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. If the state of issuance does not provide Motor Vehicle Reports to third parties, you may need to obtain one. A Texas driver’s license is required within 90 days of residency. The role requires a current Class C driver’s license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values daily.
- Maintain uniform standards, as detailed in the Employee Manual, for all worked hours.
- Maintain a clear driving record and safe driving practices and speeds.
- Keep the vehicle neat and orderly.
- Move supplies and equipment to ensure efficient storage space in the delivery vehicle.
- Receive and verify contents of all shipments to be delivered.
- Note variances and damaged products on invoices during store deliveries.
- Return damaged products and TABC tax stamps.
- Maintain a driver route sheet after every stop.
- Ensure compliance with the standardized filing system for store‑to‑store transfer paperwork and pick‑ups.
- Assist in unloading when required by location.
- Receive payment for deliveries and verify amounts accurately.
- Inform manager of inventory issues or invoice discrepancies encountered on route.
- Provide feedback to management regarding delivery vans and box trucks.
- Carry out management directives efficiently.
- Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
- Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.
- Create and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
- Provide superb customer service.
- Possess time‑management skills and prioritize tasks.
- Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and guests.
- Use industrial machines to move pallets weighing up to 2,400 pounds.
- Complete other projects or duties assigned by management.
- Maintain attendance and timeliness; the position is not remote.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education or ExperienceState law requires applicants to be over 21. Experience is valued: 1‑2 years of driving experience is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
Language SkillsRead, comprehend, and write simple instructions. Communicate verbally with coworkers and guests. Bilingual is a plus.
Mathematical SkillsAdd, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator. Counting for inventory is a major plus.
Attitudinal and Personal SkillsResponsible, reliable, and committed to excellent service. Patient, friendly, and outgoing. Self‑starter with strong work ethic and timely completion of tasks.
HoursFull Time: Typically 40 hours per week. Must be available for any shift on Friday or Saturday and at least 80% of all weekly shifts.
Part Time: Up to 25 hours per week. Working outside scheduled time requires Store Manager approval.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Knowing when to avoid driving in severe weather is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses- Valid Class C Driver’s License
Regular standing, walking, bending, and use of hands to handle items. Reach with hands and arms; climb and balance. Remember to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with proper tools. Operate industrial machinery to move pallets up to 2,400 pounds. Visual demands include close, distance, and depth perception and adjustable focus.
Work Environment and Environmental ConditionsDrive in all types of weather. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. A positive, fun environment is provided for staff.
