Maintenance Handyman

About the Role:

Join our dynamic team at La Quinta Inn & Suites McKinney as a Maintenance / Handyman! In this vital role, you will ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable and safe stay by maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues and necessary repairs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including landscaping and parking lot maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger repair projects and renovations.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document maintenance activities and report any major issues to management.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance is a plus.
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker or handyman in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and facilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
