Crane Operator; Grapple

Position: Crane Operator (Grapple)
Venture Metals + is a fast-growing, metal recycling company looking to grow our team with a Crane Operator (Scrap Grapple) at our McKinney Location


* This is not an overhead crane position*

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate scrap Grapple cranes to load and unload trucks and containers.
• Use crane to move materials throughout facility/yard.
• Recognize and remove contaminating materials.
• Recognize and separate different grades of scrap.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating Grapple cranes.
• Works with integrity and ethically;
  Upholds organizational values.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, work outdoors & exposed to all weather elements.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday
: 8:00am - 12:00pm

** Saturdays are required*
* Please note you WILL work outdoors. You must be able to work under the elements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
