Range Safety Officer – Experienced (Part-Time)

Our family‑owned indoor shooting range in McKinney seeks experienced Range Safety Officers to work part‑time, including weekends. Applicants must be 21 or older, possess RSO experience, and be able to work a flexible schedule across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Perform duties of Range Safety Officer
• Provide members and guests with information on range equipment and perform safety briefings
• Greet members and guests
• Assist with rental firearms
• Assist members/guests in choosing a new firearm
• Clean rental firearms as needed
• Work events
• Maintain compliance with 4473 and NICS background check processes (training provided)
• Sell ammunition, memberships, merchandise and other items
• Maintain a clean and safe range
• Be able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Additional duties as needed but always within reason
• Help keep retail area clean and stocked

• Range Safety Officer experience required
• Must be 21 or older
• Must be able to field strip firearms of our choice
• Must pass a shooting qualification test to carry a firearm as an RSO
• Must have experience with firearms
• Must be able to say “no” when needed
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends, weekdays, holidays)
• Reliable transportation
• All staff will be subject to a background check; drug and lead‑level tests will also be performed
• Must be able to purchase a firearm legally in the U.S.
