Job DescriptionProvide customer service. Supervise and complete all transactions with 3rd party vendors. Monitor store conditions and maintain standards. Monitor and control inventory. Practice safe food handling. Supervise and direct the night crew and 3rd party vendors. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions, including Computer Assisted Ordering and BOH accuracy.
- Check condition, quantity, pricing, and temperature of received products.
- Process damaged or returned goods and complete necessary paperwork.
- Assist with markdowns and 5S process in markdown locations.
- Manage inventory for all delivered products.
- Handle Direct Store Delivery (DSD) ad plan, inventory, and ad space on the sales floor.
- Scan DSD out-of-stocks and communicate with vendors.
- Maintain high 5S standards in receiving and backroom areas.
- Ensure vendors follow company policies, including dress code.
- Assist with scheduling price changes and updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the inventory process.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
- Stay current with ads and promotions.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with perishable donation programs.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
- Ensure shipping and receiving tools work properly.
- Practice preventive maintenance and inspect equipment.
- Ensure security of receiving area and backroom.
- Develop and train DSD Receiver backup.
- Communicate relevant information to staff and vendors.
- Promote teamwork and assist in other departments as needed.
- Attend training and meetings.
- Perform quarterly inventory counts.
- Unload groceries, operate checkout terminals, and handle monetary transactions.
- Bag groceries and load shopping carts as needed.
- Evaluate and review staff performance.
- Handle disciplinary actions and train new staff.
- Communicate with management and enforce policies.
- Monitor security, shrink, and expenses.
- Complete required forms and handle emergency situations.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read manuals, retain information, and perform basic math.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- Experience in grocery, receiving, and ordering preferred.
