Our Raytheon’s Multi-spectral Targeting System (MTS) product line is seeking an Assembler specializing in manufacturing to support our team 100% onsite in McKinney, Texas. This position is for 1st shift.
What You Will Do- Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabricate, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand instruments.
- May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.
- Check for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments.
- Perform all work in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.
- Work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
- Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
- Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Develop more than one job at a time and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in product assemblies and/or manufacturing.
- Experience with manufacturing manuals, schematics, and/or engineering drawings.
- Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.)
- Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools
- Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
