Job Description
- This role supports acceptance testing for production and development/prototype products in a fast ‑ paced manufacturing and engineering environment.
- The Test Technician will perform hands ‑ on testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis while working directly with engineering teams.
- Apply strong problem ‑ solving skills to identify alternate solutions to technical challenges.
- Fault ‑ isolate issues between test environments (test stations, interface adapters, test cables, etc.) and devices under test.
- Observe, analyze, and report on test data in accordance with test requirements.
- Select and set up appropriate test equipment based on specifications.
- Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to determine pass/fail conditions and elevate when needed.
- Use hand tools, torque tools, analyzers, and power tools as required.
- Support production testing and troubleshooting activities in collaboration with engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant testing experience (STEM education may substitute).
- Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, basic programming, and general computer literacy.
- Ability to perform testing using procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions with limited supervision.
- Qualifications We Prefer Experience with oscilloscopes, pulse generators, network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and similar test equipment.
- Hands ‑ on experience in manufacturing, assembly, aviation, naval, or similar technical environments.
- Experience with RF and high ‑ voltage testing.
- Experience working in structured, regulated, or security ‑ sensitive production environments.
- Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of a defense production test environment, including:
- Standing or sitting for extended periods (8–10 hours).
- Lifting and carrying 35–50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, or climbing ladders.
- Working near electronic equipment, high ‑ voltage devices, and RF systems.
- Wearing required PPE (safety glasses, ESD straps, hearing protection).
- Working in environments with noise, temperature changes, or vibration.
- Moving test racks, carts, and large cable bundles as needed.
- Handling small components, wiring, and precision tools with strong manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Must Have High school diploma or AA/AS degree (or equivalent 2 ‑ year technical training).
