General Laborer-2nd Shift

Position Purpose

Ability to operate equipment, conduct required quality checks, and interpret production work orders.

• Operate production machines and equipment following accepted practices
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as overhead hoists
• Make machine set‑ups as required
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required
• Use basic power tools such as an impact drill and wrench
• Must be able to use a Bill of Materials to build units using proper materials and parts
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and basic data entry
• Must understand how to interpret and use production work orders
• Conduct required quality checks using a tape measurer (basic measurement equipment)
• Comply with the Quality Management System, 1st piece Inspection
• Maintain regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience in a manufacturing warehouse, preferably in automotive
• Construction experience preferred (masonry work, framing or concrete work)
• Basic mechanic experience preferred
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow directions
• Able to read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerancing preferred
• Must be able to speak, read and write legibly in English

• Must be able to physically lift 40 lbs unassisted
• Able to repetitively assemble products
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant
• Fast‑paced work environment

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external parties
