Position Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will apply strong mechanical and technical expertise to ensure the performance and longevity of our equipment. Your work will directly contribute to the stability, safety, and operational excellence that define Prysmian.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and unplanned equipment issues during production
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service activities during planned downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, and work orders
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to keep machinery and facilities in optimal condition
  • Diagnose issues, repair or replace parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments
  • Support equipment installations, startups, and shutdowns following Prysmian and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, equipment performance, and maintenance history
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support plant operations
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Preferred experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, especially with:
    • Conveyors
    • Motors and power trains
    • Bearings
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work in overhead areas, tight spaces, or beneath machinery to conduct repairs
  • Comfort working around high‑voltage systems and heat‑intensive environments
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy parts and machine components with or without assistance
Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive movement
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility
  • Kneeling, crouching, and stooping
  • Use of hands to operate tools, parts, and equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. while bending, twisting, and standing
