Position Purpose
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the Company plays a pivotal role in steering the direction of our business operations, propelling both revenue generation and sustainable growth. This role primarily involves orchestrating highly strategic initiatives encompassing sales, marketing, product development, and customer service to meet and exceed company targets. The CCO is tasked with creating and driving the execution of impactful sales strategies, fostering strategic partnerships, and promoting operational alignment in line with the company's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and execute strategic commercial initiatives to maximize growth in both direct and partner sales channels, contributing to overall revenue and profitability.
- Oversight of all commercial operations.
- Strategize and implement result-oriented sales strategies across a diverse portfolio to enhance customer base, gain market share, and reach revenue objectives.
- Partner with the Div President to set organizational vision, devise operational strategies, determine recruitment needs, and define quantifiable goals.
- Identify, develop, and administer strategic partnerships to further increase the company's footprint and market visibility within targeted industry sectors.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current market trends, emerging technologies, and legislative regulations to ensure competitive advantage and regulatory compliance.
- Leverage data analysis and reporting to make informed business decisions, optimize operations, and improve financial performance.
- Foster a high-performance culture through inspirational leadership, talent development, and the encouragement of innovation and continuous improvement within all commercial teams.
The Commercial Officer (CCO) will directly report to the President of the Division. Direct reports include the national sales team. The CCO is responsible for aligning departmental strategies with the overall commercial objectives of the Company, providing strategic direction and leadership to a large team and managing inter-departmental collaboration to achieve company-wide objectives. The CCO manages performance, development, and recruitment of direct reports, ensuring the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against set objectives.
Regular reporting of departmental successes, challenges, and strategic initiatives to the Executive Leadership and other members of the executive team is expected. Leadership, effective communication, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships within and outside the organization are key attributes for this role.
The Chief Commercial Officer is expected to undertake domestic and international travel, as necessary, for the effective execution of the job role, including participation in key strategic meetings, visiting company branches, and essential industry events, with the frequency to be determined based on business needs.
Physical RequirementsThe role is primarily sedentary, involving sitting for extended periods and using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers. It requires the ability to talk and hear extensively, interact regularly with employees, clients, stakeholders, and board members, and maintain close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures. From time to time, moderate walking, reaching, lifting, and/or moving of lightweight items up to 10 pounds may be required.
