Job Description
Collin County is seeking exceptional candidates for a Functional Analyst. A Functional Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining and supporting changes to the Juvenile Case Management and Odyssey systems. Work is performed under the direction of the Director of Juvenile Services.
Primary Functions- Developing and monitoring customized reporting and data tools utilized by supervisory and management staff for the analysis of business functions and operational efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Assisting supervisors in the development and implementation of future hardware and software solutions.
- Updating, maintaining, testing, and modifying the Juvenile Department’s portion of Odyssey and Juvenile Case Management System.
- Monitoring databases for integration issues and identifying solutions and areas of improvement. Composing departmental procedures related to documentation in Juvenile Case Management System and Odyssey applications for overall improvement.
- Coordinating required changes to the databases and proactively identifying any potential issues.
- Creating and analyzing statistical data from various modules within the databases and monthly reporting.
- Maintaining positive and professional relationships both internally and externally, such as school districts and city police departments that utilize JCMS.
- Serving as the liaison between software vendor, Collin County IT, Odyssey Change Control board by providing support and training to departmental Odyssey and JCMS users.
- Ensuring all personnel receive training on Juvenile Case Management System (JCMS) and Odyssey application.
- Mapping and configuring all aspects of software to fit the business practices of the department including financial fee schedules and solving configuration issues.
- Assisting in special projects requiring information systems data.
- Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
- Associate’s degree is required.
- Minimum three (3) years of directly related experience in database and software management is required, and a basic understanding of the Juvenile Justice System.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a high proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
- Strong technical and analytical skills required.
