Overview
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Criminal Investigator. Reporting to the District Attorney. A Chief Criminal Investigator is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the DA investigators and preparing cases.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates must have specific knowledge, normally acquired through two years of college resulting in an Associate’s degree.
At least three years of related experience is required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Must have a Texas Peace Officer’s License.
Assists the District Attorney by supervising DA investigators, maintaining work schedules.
Performs investigative work, interacting with the public.
Assisting with the yearly budget preparation.
Related duties include assisting in case preparation, locating witnesses for trial, assisting in training coordination, conducting background investigations, and answering questions regarding correspondence that deals with sensitive issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
