Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our team. As a Medical Scheduler, you will be responsible for efficiently managing patient appointments, coordinating schedules for medical staff, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations within our healthcare facility. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service to patients while optimizing the utilization of medical resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.

Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments with patients via phone, email, or in-person
  • Manage scheduling changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize appointment scheduling and patient flow
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or related field is a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare practices
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
