Location: 7001 S. Custer Rd., Suite 900, Allen, Texas 75013 (This position will float across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations)
Work hours: Full-Time, 3-12-hour shifts a week, 7:45 AM - 8:15 PM
Qualifications- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skill and spine
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program, or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
- Successful completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care
- 6 months prior x-ray experience or completion of an internal THR LMRT training program (preferred)
- 6 months prior health‑care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient‑care role
- 6 months prior experience as licensed LMRT (preferred)
- Previous experience with electronic health record, straight‑arm x‑ray, and orthopedic experience (preferred)
- LMRT issued by the TMB with specialties: chest, extremities, skull, and spine (required)
- Medical Assistant Certified or Registered (in lieu of MA education program) or CHCP externship at Breeze (required)
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support, maintained every 2 years, required prior to independent patient care (within 30 days of hire)
- THR Urine Drug Collector training, maintained every 5 years, required prior to independent care (within 30 days of hire)
- Collect identification and payer‑related documentation, conduct registration using EPIC workflow.
- Measure and document vitals and communicate data to consumer and provider.
- Document chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications in EPIC.
- Perform and document laboratory testing and collections per provider orders.
- Administer and document oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate verification workflow.
- Assist provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and orthogoods/orthoglass application.
- Perform diagnostic x‑rays and document completion within licensed scope, ensure images transferred for report.
- Behave professionally and empathetically, building trust with consumers and guests.
- Welcome consumers and guests, inquire about purpose and nature of visit.
- Recognize and notify provider of emergent patients; perform BLS, provide oxygen, assist with emergency care.
- Schedule primary care referrals.
- Maintain office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels.
- Perform quality checks throughout the facility per policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
