Role Summary

Principal Program Quality Engineer (PQE) – Onsite in McKinney, Texas. Responsible for developing and monitoring quality metrics to drive proactive continuous improvement initiatives supporting the Shipboard Missiles team Transition to Production. Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to reduce product lifecycle cost and risk.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as a member of the Program team, ensuring successful program performance and delivering conforming products/services through effective collaboration.
  • Oversee integration and implementation of cross‑functional teams to align with quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
  • Act as program quality liaison across customer organizations (DCMA and USG) and relevant factories and engineering labs as first responder for quality issues and concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and partner with program management to define and implement quality improvement strategies, including APQP and First Article Inspections.
  • Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner (peer reviews, engineering review/ change control board, design reviews).
  • Engage on strategic and tactical levels focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, influencing and providing differentiating quality value.
  • Monitor root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and ensure extensive RCCA.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting design and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience leading teams in failure analysis, root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Technical discipline knowledge with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Qualifications We Value
  • ASQ CQE Certification.
  • Experience with APQP methods (FMEA, Control Plan, FAI/AS9102, SPC) and mentoring cross‑functional teams.
  • Interpretation and compliance with TDP requirements and QMS requirements.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment with competing requirements.
  • Knowledge of PRISM, Business Warehouse, RCAS.
  • Demonstrated leadership in RCCA and continuous improvement projects.
  • Results‑oriented decision making with limited information.
