Role Summary

The Industrial Engineer drives business and process improvements across manufacturing and transactional processes by designing, improving, and implementing integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment. This role leads initiatives that apply best practices in six sigma, lean manufacturing, and theory of constraints to reduce lead-times, improve process flow, eliminate variation and waste, and translate results into tangible KPI benefits.

What You Will Do
  • Review existing operations, document product and information flow using value stream maps and process flow diagrams; develop recommendations for process improvements and lead implementation.
  • Lead factory layout initiatives for optimal process flow, material levels, kanban levels, and material presentation.
  • Lead Lean events and mentor cross-functional teams on Lean principles and tools.
  • Identify needs for manufacturing simulation models; lead data collection to support model creation and develop alternative scenarios.
  • Build capacity models, gather critical data, and make recommendations based on model outputs.
  • Drive manufacturability improvements by analyzing historical performance and recommending design and process changes to improve efficiency.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience with Lean principles and implementation of Lean strategies.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to work with floor operators, peers, and management.
  • Proficiency in Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in process simulations.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to make business decisions and present cost benefits.
  • Knowledge in automated manufacturing and digital manufacturing tools (e.g., 3D modeling).
  • Experience with SAP or PRISM systems and transitioning development products to a production environment.

Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The range is a good faith estimate and may consider factors such as role, location, experience, and qualifications.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and more) and potential incentive programs, depending on the business unit and applicable agreements.

-based. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits apply.
