Job Details

The Project Engineer role is based in North Texas with travel to locations in Texas and Oklahoma. P&K Stone, LLC offers high quality crushed stone, manufactured sand and recycled concrete. Our aggregate materials are used in a wide range of construction aggregate applications including infrastructure projects, commercial projects and residential projects.

Primary Objectives
  • Champion safety
  • Work with the operations management team to develop and prepare concepts, scope, GA, and detail drawings for new plant and optimization projects
  • Develop project budget and schedule to meet target completion dates using internal and external resources where applicable
  • Assist in the development of, and adherence to, design standards.
  • Follow through on project completion and ensure objectives are met.
  • Create and maintain the project schedule.
  • Provide project updates to company leadership.
  • Pre-qualify contractors.
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with Civil or Structural Engineering background.
  • At least 5 years of project engineering experience and related experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
  • In depth knowledge with aggregates processing equipment, pumping equipment, and fundamental electrical knowledge is desired.
  • Analytical, data focused, and metrics driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at the field level and with management.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Detail oriented. Solves problems in a timely fashion.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze options and present a recommendation based on quantitative information.
  • Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Excel and Word, and AutoCAD.
Work Environment
  • Primarily office with some field work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
  • Periodic travel and overnight required.
