• Perform mechanical design and documentation of antennas, RF sensors, and supporting electronics and sub-systems.
• Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure that overall design objectives are met.
• Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
• Define mechanical outline and construction details, select and specify connectors, create mechanical and assembly drawings, and oversee electrical layout and the technical data package.
• Work with minimal direction or supervision, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.
• Interact frequently with the IPTL, PM, and external personnel.
• Travel periodically to suppliers and other sites to support programs.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree or a minimum of 5 years’ prior relevant experience, including any combination of the following:

• Experience with the design and manufacturing of electronics packaging for military and aerospace applications
• Experience with GD&T, ANSI drawing standards and first order analysis techniques
• Experience with PTC Creo MCAD software and drawing standards

• Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field
• Six (6) or more years of industry experience in the design and test of electronics packaging for military and aerospace applications
• CREO surfacing experience
• Strong technical background with high technical aptitude
• Advanced mechanical engineering expertise
• Capable of providing input or guidance to lower-level engineers
• Ability to manage conflicting or non-existent requirements in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
