Title: iCODE Instructor situated near Prosper/McKinney/Frisco

Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour

Job Requirements

Looking for College or High School students to join us at iCODE North McKinney /Prosper area, for an exciting opportunity to teach K-9 students fundamentals of computer science and programming. The instructor is responsible for delivering iCode curriculum while creating a fun learning experience for the students. This is a great job opportunity for students or to gain experience and develop soft skills and leadership skills.

Classroom management and curriculum training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and educate students according to curriculum and guidelines provided by iCode.
• Manage a fun and orderly classroom at all times.
• Provide feedback about class material and student dynamics in weekly status reports.
• Provide weekly communication and updates to parents.

Requirements

• Positive attitude, outgoing personality and excellent people skills
• Ability to work with students ranging from K-12
• Knowing programming in Roblox and Minecraft and a requirement!!
• Demonstrated hobbies such as robotics, gaming, coding, or digital arts
• Experience in teaching foundations of programming foundations using languages such as Scratch, Python, C#, any OOP is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Self-motivated and driven

Good to have skills:

• Previous experience working at another iCode location

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours and Availability :
From 3:45pm to 6:00pm on weekdays (preferably Thursdays , but there is flexibility)

Availability on Saturday mornings (optional)
