Position: Supply Chain Specialist I - Materials Management, Part-time, Days

The salary range for this position is $17.27 - $23.32 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Supply Chain Specialist I, Logistics reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Supply Chain Spec I, Logistics performs the daily activities of various tasks within the Supply Chain team including inventory ordering and replenishment, receiving, equipment, linen, and mail. Works in role to meet and exceed established key process indicators (KPI’s). Provides input on inventory level analysis and process improvement initiatives. Assists with communication as directed within the department related to policies, procedures, MD I and standard work methodologies.

Works with clinical staff on communication around product changes. Assists all internal customers regarding supply chain logistic issues and communicates with Supply Chain Leadership regarding findings and resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Follows standard work and methodologies around inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.
  • Utilizes standard processes within Wave Mark and People Soft to maintain data integrity.
  • Utilizes problem solving skills to resolve noncomplex situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain management personnel: consults with SC Leadership for guidance as needed.
  • Performs daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assists with special projects as required.
  • Ensures support of MDI and daily huddles.
  • Orders and delivers supplies and/or linen to user areas based on par level. Identifies stock shortages and notify management.
  • Conducts routine audits of supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance with par levels, and proper usage.
  • Identifies and documents discrepancies, expirations, shortages, or overstock; communicates findings to management and supports corrective actions.
  • Answers incoming calls from users identifying supply needs.
  • Maintains work area to ensure a clean and safe environment.
