Manager Engineering and Technical Services
POSITION SUMMARYThe Methods Engineer Iposition supportsthemanufacturingofadhesive andabrasivecoatingoperationsat Jessup Manufacturing Company.
This is achieved by optimizing cost-effectivemanufacturingprocessesandmethods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards,recommending.
and implementing improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinating manufacturing launch for new or revised products and equipment. Provides support to R&D and product development by analysis, testing and documenting material performance and capabilities. Assisting product development projects from lab to manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Improves new and existing manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality, or efficiency. This is achieved by, planning workflow, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, equipment, layout and materials; soliciting input from operators, equipment suppliers and industry experts.
- Coordinates between production teams the manufacturing launch of new/revised processes and equipment including project management, establishing goals, monitoring effectiveness.
- Completes design and development projects by documenting ISO compliant work instructions, training, and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal
- Performs other duties as assigned by department manager.
- Maintain technical data logs relating to manufacturing processes
- Leverages engineering techniques aid in trouble shooting product quality for trail and non-trail products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- 0-2 years’ Engineering experience in product manufacturing environment
- Proficient in the implementation of LEAN and Kaizen principles
- Organizational, analytical and communication skills
- History of progressive responsibility
- Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
