The compensation target range for this role is: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following job description is for a position of Maintenance with Purple. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, report defective material and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Ability to operate forklifts
• Ability to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine
• Ability to operate cardboard baling machine

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity
• Reasoning Ability:
  Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems from various situations
• Mathematics Ability:
  Proficiency with basic arithmetic operations and units
• Language Ability:
  Ability to communicate in simple sentences
• Knowledge of warehousing tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques
• Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal

Physical activities may include:

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds

• Regularly required to talk and hear; active throughout the day; standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work

• Inside and outside environmental conditions
• Exposure to weather, extreme cold (below 32°F) or heat (above 100°F)
• Noise levels sufficient to require elevation of voice
• Exposure to vibration, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, and chemicals
• Atmospheric conditions affecting respiratory system or skin
• Possible travel to other locations to support other machines or facility needs
