Compensation target range for this role is: $113,100 - $133,000
Job SummaryImplements quality assurance processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards. Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures and documentation for QA processes. Lead oversight, administration, and continuous improvement of Purple's QMS system and procedures. Facilitates communication among production departments and management. Responsible for policies and procedures promoting the quality of goods produced. Drafts and maintains logs, records, and other documentation for in-process testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria.
Utilize existing systems to record relevant data and key metrics related to quality control. Analyze quality data, interpret results, and develop and drive action plans appropriately. Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and technological advances in the applicable industry and in the quality assurance field. Plant point of contact for audits as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of quality control standards and methodology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business field required, with engineering degree strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of related experience in manufacturing and production required.
- History of success in matrixed organizations.
- Requires up to 20% travel to other Purple facilities.
Physical activities may occasionally include:
- Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions.
Physical activities may constantly include:
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
