At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports.
SummaryThe Residential Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents. This role includes managing staff, facilitating resident opportunities for growth, and maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement residential program policies and procedures.
- Monitor program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to enhance services.
- Recruit, train, and manage residential staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Ensure that the needs of residents are met and that they have access to necessary resources and services.
- Report and decline in medical needs to nursing staff and work closely with the nursing department to ensure compliance.
- Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe residential environment by adhering to safety regulations and standards. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing residential programs.
- Budget Management:
Assist in developing and managing the residential program budget. - Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective measures.
- Work collaboratively with community agencies, stakeholders, and families to support resident success.
- Foster partnerships that enhance the resources available for residents.
- Crisis Management:
Respond effectively to emergencies and crises, providing guidance to staff and residents. - Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.
- Adaptability and Independence:
Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems effectively. - Work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential management or relevant field.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of residential treatment programs and applicable regulations.
- Ability to adapt and work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Sr Mgr, Health Care (HCM
013) or position equivalent.
