Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology the technologist operates imaging equipment to safely produce diagnostic images of various anatomical body parts for evaluation and interpretation by the radiologist.
Responsibilities- Operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic images.
- Work and relate in a professional, non‑defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
- Function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the Radiology Department and SMRMC Health Systems.
- Assist with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to the unit.
- Perform an 80‑hour per pay period schedule or PRN hours, and work rotating shifts, including on‑call hours.
- Arrange and attend mandatory yearly education requirements; non‑negotiable.
