LPN Outpatient GI Clinic

Under general supervision of the Clinic Administrator, Office Manager and Clinic RN, uses the nursing process to safely provide patient care and patient education.

• Workload determined by clinic appointment schedule, staffing levels, and clinic priorities.
• Willing to be reassigned within clinic or float to another clinic as needed.
• Clinic LPN assigned up to 40 hours per week according to clinic and staff needs.
• Weekend work may be required.
• Function within LPN scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the clinic and organization.
• Assist the Clinic RN and Office Manager with orientation and preceptorship for clinic technicians and clerical staff.
• Work and relate in a professional, non‑defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Document clinic patient care, assist with review and maintenance of patient charts per clinic policy, and assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into the computer system.
• Attend yearly mandatory education requirements, non‑negotiable, and arrange/attend sessions.
