• LAB CERTIFICIATION REQUIRED
• Regulatory Requirement (education And Related Knowledge):
  Including 6-12 months of clinical education acceptable through NAACLS to the CAHEA of American Medical Association.
• Must be able to perform all phases of job at a satisfactory level in 4 months or 130 days.
• Current MT Certification or eligible for certification by a nationally recognized agency such as ASCP, NCA, or equivalent.
• Generalist certification is required within 2 years of employment.
• Maintains CMP if applicable.

• The Medical Technologist uses the laboratory process to safely perform laboratory procedures.
• Working assignments are determined by the workload of laboratory tests to be done.
• Follows departmental procedures and policies that reflect the services provided by the laboratory.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments.
• Will be assigned up to 40 hours a week and will rotate between day and night shifts according to the needs of the unit and staff.
• Expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organization.
• Must be able to address problems with instruments and not depend on someone else to resolve the problem.
• Assist with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to unit.
• Work professionally with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Attend yearly mandatory education requirements and arrange to attend sessions; this is non-negotiable.
• Must be willing to perform any duty within the scope of a medical technologist as requested by the laboratory manager or director.
