DEFINITION

Under general supervision of the Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager the Delivery Driver/Make Ready will abide by all local and state laws and always operate the company vehicle in a safe manner. Drivers will conduct deliveries and pickups utilizing a company-provided pick‑up truck and trailer. Additional duties include preparing portable toilets, wash stations, and luxury stations for delivery, including pressure washing, grounds keeping and basic maintenance.

The driver maintains records of deliveries and pickups, conducts inspections of the equipment before and after each pickup, and performs pre‑operational inspections on company trucks and trailers prior to taking them on the road to ensure they are safe to drive. This position requires the operation of a company vehicle during company time and the driver will be subject to an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check on initial hire and annually to verify a valid acceptable driving status.

Non‑CDL - Equipment Delivery Driver focused on customer satisfaction and transporting items safely and timely. The delivery driver will pick up and drop off rental equipment and perform other duties assigned. While adhering to assigned routes and time schedules, the driver obeys all traffic laws and regulations, works as part of a team to ensure equipment is ready for delivery, and is committed to safety and professionalism.

Non‑CDL - Delivery Driver/Make Ready/Yard Support

• Prepare portable toilets, wash stations, luxury stations and other equipment as required for delivery.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks around the yard or shop.
• Transport, deliver and retrieve assorted rental equipment.
• Operate non‑commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
• Promote professionalism and an excellent customer‑service attitude.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained during the workday and are available for inspection upon request.
• Apply knowledge of driving and/or commercial driving skills to maneuver at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic and inclement weather.
• Secure rental equipment and other equipment by means of chaining, strapping and blocking in strict accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). open communication with the branch manager and/or central dispatch for delivery schedules.
• Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites, facilities and other Teja’s Equipment Rental related facilities.
• Provide training assistance for customers by answering general questions regarding the safe operation of vehicles, tools or machinery.
• Report any damage to equipment or vehicles uncovered during the process of picking up the equipment from the customer to the Branch Manager.
• Report all accidents to Branch Manager and Safety Manager.
• Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions or other problems affecting timely pickups or delivery of equipment.
• Maintain flexibility in your daily routine to respond to management’s response to customer demands.
• Performs other related work as required.

Must pass a drug test and have a clean driving record.
