On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2224) s role is On-Demand with a flexible schedule; you can work as much or as little as you like depending on store needs. You will create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or team members via the myTime mobile app. Attendance and responsiveness to contact attempts are essential.

A short-term training schedule and Target Welcome orientation are required if offered a position as an On-Demand TM.

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule but may pick up shifts via the myTime app. If you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

We require active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be terminated.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about store capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checkout, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
• Assist guests and solve their specific needs; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and safely, maintaining food safety standards and accuracy.
• Minimize guest wait time while preserving service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; direct guests to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services.
• Show guests how to use Wallet and the Target App features.
• Handle returns following policy and escalate to leaders as needed.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policies.
• Provide accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during open hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up, and drive-up returns; ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Other duties as needed.
