Target seeks Guest Advocates who provide exceptional guest service at the checkout and throughout the store. Roles include cashiering, front-of-store responsibilities, and cart attendant duties with a focus on helping families discover the joy of everyday life through service excellence.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities, and events; promote and explain Target Apps features and loyalty programs; assist with sign-up when needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services, including Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; direct guests to enroll and use these features.
• Assist with returns following Target policies and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; stock supplies during store hours as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; support compliance with laws and company procedures.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up, and returns while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Effective communication, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within timelines.
• Accurately handle checkout operations and transactions; support cash office operations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds occasionally; able to work in varying temperatures and environments depending on duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
