Clinical Supervisor RN Endoscopy

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs the primary function of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients. The Clinical Supervisor - RN shall oversee and guide nursing employees under their supervision. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolution of issues. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills.

May occasionally work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on an on‑call/call‑back status. This position summary contains the most relevant duties and responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.

• 2 years of previous RN experience in the same or similar unit(s) covered by the position required, or 1 year of such experience within an STHS facility.
• 1–3 years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to be cross‑trained to other unit areas.
• Demonstrated commitment to and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies, attendance at required training, and immediate reporting of suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.

• Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license, or holding a valid temporary RN license for Texas while awaiting a permanent license.
• Effective July 1, 2018, all new hires and internal promotions must hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (or a related bachelor's degree) or obtain the degree within two years of hire or promotion.
• Maintain current certifications as required by unit needs. Certifications must align with the curriculum of the AHA Healthcare Provider Program.
