Event Assistant

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our McAllen team as an Event Assistant

About the Role:

As part of this role, you will represent respected nonprofit organizations at live events, engaging with the public, sharing each charity’s mission, and encouraging involvement or contributions. You’ll play a meaningful part in helping causes gain visibility while also developing valuable communication and people skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage face-to-face with event attendees at booths, pop-ups, and public spaces
• Represent charitable organizations by sharing their values, mission, and goals
• Explain how individuals can get involved or support each cause
• Perform live presentations or product demos (depending on the campaign)
• Set up and manage visually appealing displays
• Answer questions clearly and confidently, providing relevant information
• Collect feedback and relay insights to the internal team
• Distribute materials and create a lasting, positive impression for each organization
• Participate in training sessions to strengthen communication and outreach skills

• A warm, engaging personality with excellent communication skills
• Someone who is passionate about helping others and making a difference
• Comfortable speaking with new people in a face-to-face setting
• Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
• Able to work on their feet and handle fast-paced event environments
• Prior experience in events, promotions, or fundraising is helpful but not required
