** The Director of Security, Parking, and Transportation Services is responsible for the overall planning, development, implementation, and management of safety and security, parking, and transportation operations across all South Texas College campuses. This role ensures the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, while providing effective and customer-oriented parking and transportation services that support the College’s mission and operational goals.

Supervises the Manager of Public Safety and Transportation Services, Manager of Parking and Security Services, and Coordinator of Parking Compliance.
** Specific Duties and Responsibilities

* Essential Functions:

*** Develops and leads a strategic vision for integrated safety, security, parking, and student transportation systems.
* Directs and manages parking operations, including permitting, enforcement, lot utilization, signage, and accessibility.
* Coordinates and manages student transportation systems and services, including shuttles, fleet management, and inter-campus mobility.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to campus safety, parking, and transportation.
* Supervises the Manager of Public Safety and Transportation Services, Manager of Parking and Security Services, and Coordinator of Parking Compliance.
* Supervises and evaluates departmental staff, providing training, development, and performance management.
* Prepares and manages departmental budgets, procurement processes, and financial planning in alignment with institutional priorities.
* Cultivates a strong culture of customer service and community engagement within all operational areas.
* Collaborates with other departments and external agencies to ensure seamless integration of safety and transportation initiatives.
* Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and communication protocols related to safety, parking, and transportation services.
* Coordinates activities with the Police Lieutenant.
* Analyzes current and long-term security and parking plans and provides recommendations to the Chief of Police.
* Serves as a resource person for administrators regarding security, parking, and student transportation questions.
* Keeps abreast of security industry innovations and trends as they relate to the college’s safety and security services.
* Meets with other divisions/departments to promote the college safety and security, parking, and student transportation services program.
* Travels throughout the college district, as needed.
* Serves as Campus Security Authority.
* Assists the Chief of Police with other administrative duties pertaining to safety and security, parking, and student transportation services.
