In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and updating our residential construction labor and materials database, generating accurate estimates for models, customizations, and customer selections, and issuing timely purchase orders. Maintain/update residential construction labor & materials database. Estimate new models, options & customer customization requests. Issue purchase orders for new jobs. Collaborate with field agents on jobs when variances occur.
JOB DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:Eliminate overages and shortages, adjust master plans.
Assist design efforts through on-site visits for proof of concept.
Assist in value engineering to reduce costs.
Monitor costs and variances, report accordingly.
Maintain accurate budgets, material lists, and P.O. amounts.
Issue purchase orders matching or adjusting schedules for just-in-time deliveries.
Update relevant sheets with process dates.
• Construction experience.
• Computer proficiency and ability to work with plans and estimates.
• Ability to read blueprints and prepare material lists.
• Knowledge of residential construction estimates.
• Creative design skills.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a good record.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and human relations skills.
• Willingness to attend training and seminars.
• Organizational skills for department maintenance.
• Responsible for contracts, pricing, materials, and lead times.
• Assist in scope of work and new product research.
• Responsible for pricing options.
• Other duties as assigned.
