Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Responsibilities
Performs all computed tomography exams and quality control procedures as required. Evaluates exam orders, verifies them with the radiologist when needed, and ensures the correct exam is performed. Screens all patients to confirm there are no contraindications for oral or intravenous contrast. Interacts with hospital staff and nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolution of issues.
Maintains performance skills and routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call/call-back status as required.
- Current Board Certified Life Safety (BCLS) certification.
- 2 years of prior computed tomography (CT) or radiographer experience preferred.
- Membership in a related professional organization preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Texas.
- ARRT Certification (R) in Radiology; ARRT Certification (C) in Computed Tomography preferred.
