What we want
The Site Manager, under general direction, manages the day-to-day operations of the Texas A&M Health’s Simulation & Immersive Learning Center (Sim Center) located in McAllen, Texas. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, vendors, customers, and other program staff, to facilitate experiential learning encounters for Texas A&M Health students and external customers, ensuring safe and effective simulation practices. Provides supervision and training for assigned staff.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
5 years of experience in a management role with oversight of multiple staff or programs/departments.
Required Licenses and Certifications
CHSE
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator, or CHSOS
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist, or medical certification/licensure, or ability to obtain simulation certifications within 36 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing or other health-related field, or in organizational management.
Completion of education courses in healthcare, healthcare education, business, management, or related fields.
3 years of experience in direct patient care, clinical simulation, education, healthcare, technology, event planning/management, supervision, and/or business.
Experience with clinical simulation equipment, Human Patient Simulators, manikins, task trainers, and medical procedure simulators.
Current CHSE (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator), CHSOS (Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist), or Healthcare certification/licensure within the last 5 years.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
Highly efficient organization and time management skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Experience in post-secondary education.
Experience with audio/visual software, learning management software, and customer resource management software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and virtual meeting applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to effectively and comfortably interact with faculty, staff, students, and the community/external customers.
Ability to direct, coach, and mentor employees’ performance.
