**** SUMMARY
* * This position is for a full-time Collaborative Piano Faculty to join the Music Department beginning Fall 2026. Primary responsibilities include serving as a collaborative pianist for STC Choir Ensemble rehearsals/concerts, music faculty and visiting artists performances, small ensemble performances, student lessons, juries, studio recitals, and sophomore recitals as assigned. The candidate should possess familiarity across a broad range of repertoires including vocal, brass, woodwind, and string literature and be able coach students on how to collaborate successfully to improve their repertoire.

The candidate should also be comfortable reading open score and rehearsing individual parts in choir music.

Teaching duties may include teaching Piano Accompanying, Class Piano, Music Appreciation, and/or additional music courses as assigned. The candidate must be willing to accept assignments that include dual enrollment classes offered at any of the STC campuses and in the high schools. Recruitment in the high schools is a high priority and will be required as part of the responsibilities of the job.

* Effectively communicates subject matter content to student
* Contributes to the selection and development of instructional materials
3. Evaluation of Student Learning:
* Participates in the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental student learning outcomes
* Develops and uses evaluation methods, which fairly measures student progress toward outcomes
* Evaluates and expeditiously returns student work to promote maximum learning
* Maintains accurate records of student progress
