Scope of Job

To provide strategic leadership in the assessment of academic programs that hold discipline-specific accreditation (e.g., engineering, social work, nursing). Oversee high‑level technical and analytical processes, fostering collaboration with faculty and stakeholder to ensure that programs meet specialized accreditor assessment standards while aligning with institutional accreditor assessment standards.

Description of Duties
  • Manage the alignment of specialized accreditation assessment requirements with institutional standards, such as those of SACSCOC, by mapping outcomes, measures, and reporting practices to ensure coherence, compliance, and strategic integration across academic programs. Lead efforts to help faculty and assessment leaders recognize strategic alignments and interconnections between specialized accreditation requirements and SACSCOC standards, fostering cohesive and efficient assessment practices across programs.
  • Oversee the technical and content support provided to faculty and staff representing specialized accredited programs in completing the periodic assessment reports.
  • Manage the design and implementation of effective data collection instruments and methodologies that support meaningful and reliable assessment of student learning and program outcomes.
  • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses of student learning outcomes to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision‑making and drive continuous improvement across academic programs.
  • Manage the preparation and development of analytical reports that present assessment results clearly and effectively, including detailed data tabulation and interpretation to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Ensure the maintenance of records and documentation of assessment plans and reports for discipline‑specific accreditation, supporting compliance with external reporting standards.
  • Supervise trainings and individual coaching for faculty and staff to improve their assessment process and related activities to meet specialized and institutional accreditation standards.
  • Prepare detailed briefing materials, presentations; provide relevant facts and data for meetings, reports, inquiries, and presentations.
  • Perform personnel administrative functions (e.g., hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, providing professional development opportunities, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and ensuring department/program outcomes are achieved.
