• Annual Volume: 18,000
• Beds: 14 beds
• Provider Coverage:
  Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a
  • NPPAs work 2p-10p on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
• EMR:
  Cerner
• Requirements: ABEM/ABOEM or ABFM with emergency medicine experience
• Certifications Required (if not ABEM or ABOEM) ATLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP (all need to be through AHA)
• Subspecialties Available:
  Lab services and imaging (CT and x-ray)
• Malpractice:
  Claims Based/Unlimited Tail

Part of South Texas Health System, South Texas Health System ER Ware Road is a free standing ED facility. This facility offers 24-hour emergency care, 365 days a year. South Texas Health System ER Ware Road is staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in South Texas Health System's hospital-based emergency rooms.
