Automotive Service Technician Experienced

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCED

• Efficiently perform automotive services using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, steering, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously seek and learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Record findings on approved documents to support accurate customer estimates and repairs.
• Notify store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain and secure work tools; turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard‑free work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem‑solving, and repair.
• Strong customer service skills, high motivation and energy.
• Proficiency with shop tools and equipment such as scanners, diagnostic equipment, A/C recovery, fluid exchange, and lift operation.
• ASE and A/C refrigerant handling certifications are a plus but not required unless performing A/C services.
• Valid driver’s license; insurable and able to drive various vehicle types.
• Ability to identify, comprehend, and act on changing requirements; work well under different environmental conditions.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, and retrieve; lift, move, carry, and load items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate and understand English and Spanish; reading, writing, speaking.

Must stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods; work in extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes. Lift and move inventory items up to 50 pounds. Stand, move, and work 6–8 hours per day.
