About The Role The Vet Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments by restraining animals and preparing necessary equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical areas, and animal housing to ensure a safe environment.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed, monitoring their behavior and reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary professionals, following established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide guidance on post-treatment care, medication administration, and general animal health.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience or training in animal care or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling and safety procedures.

• Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter environment.
