Medical Assistant at Vanguard Surgical Center

The Medical Assistant (MA) will work under supervision with oversight from a registered nurse. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Director of Nursing. Front and back office duties.

• Assists medical providers and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure.
• Great communicator able to deal tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.
• Assist with chart preparation.
• Assist with Admissions. Check in pre‑op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre‑Op nursing staff.
• Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must have front and back office experience.
• X‑Ray Tech experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Pay Range: Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
