In this role, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.

• Participate in advance research projects. Assist in the development of new procedure protocols. Act as the CT technical expert for the department. Troubleshoot equipment and arrange for repairs in the absence of the assistant manager.
• Explain the procedure to the patient and answer any questions prior to the performance of the exam.
• Obtain patient history pertinent to exam.
• Produce high quality C.T. images and generate 3‑D images within proper time parameters.
• Adhere to procedure protocols at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• Specific Degree(s):
  Radiologic Technology
• New Graduate or 1‑2 years of previous job‑related experience
• Cross training from Rad Tech to CT scan available – (Only AVX for full time)

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
• Computer Assisted Tomography (CT Technologist)
• CPR from American Heart Association (ONLY)
