About

The Role

In this role, the Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate and high complexity testing. Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required.

What You'll Do
  • Perform all laboratory testing, including pre-analytical procedures, in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation standards to support patient care.
  • Conduct and document quality control procedures for tests, equipment, reagents, and media. Evaluate results and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and reliability of patient testing.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree - Medical Laboratory Science Program
  • Specific Degree(s):
    Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science
Licensure/Certification s Preferred
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
  • Other:
    Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)

Pay Range: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
